Free Agent after being released in April
Bendtner is available. Hit him up on Whatsapp. The misunderstood striking genius has no club after Wolfsburg released him for his crimes against training. Even though he had been successful at the German club, they dropped him faster than a Volkswagen emission rating. Where will the ex arsenal and Juve man end up next? Is the Premier League ready for Nicklas Bendtner’s glorious return?
Shortage of strikers in the market
Premier league clubs have been throwing their confetti cash around Europe. The TV deal has made them all rich and they’re now intent on paying over the odds on average players. Strikers, however, have been difficult to come by. West Ham for example, have spent the summer bidding for every decent front man out there. They then settled on Zaza from Juve, initially on loan, with an agreement to buy the player for around £25 million next summer. That’s a lot of loot for a player who scored 5 goals last season. Meanwhile, Bendtner is free…. on so many levels!
Possible destinations for the Dane
Hull: The TIGERS!!!!! can barely fill their feckin’ team every week. There’s a ban on paying transfer fees until the club is sold. Why not go for Bendtner, who is free?!
Stoke: They can’t score goals to save their lives.
Middlesborough: See Stoke
Arsenal: Their new signing will surely flop. The 43 creative midfielders in the Gunners’ ranks ensures strikers get plenty of chances. Even Giroud scores 15-20 per season.
WBA: They’re not very glamorous. Bendtner would change that in an instant
Still not convinced that Bendtner deserves another shot in the Premier League, and that perhaps, the Premier League needs Bendtner? The photo above might sway a few undecided voters.
