MUST WIN GAME FOR IRELAND
Ireland finished third in their Euro 2016 qualifying group. This gave them a place in the play-off and ultimately, a route to the Finals. If Ireland were to finish third in their World Cup qualifying group, they would spend the summer of 2018 watching da tele. Second place only secures a spot in the play-off. We’re just patiently waiting on FIFA to expand the World Cup to 48 teams.

Georgia will be no pushovers
A couple of recent Georgian results that will make Irish fans nervous:
- Spain 0-1 Georgia (Friendly)
- Georgia 1-0 Scotland (EQ)
Beating Spain is a great achievement, even with the * after it. In their first game of this qualifying round, they narrowly lost 2-1 to a well-respected, Austrian team. Ireland cannot afford to take this game lightly.
CLASS SHOULD TELL IN THE END
Ireland should come through this encounter with 3 points. Their brave draw away to Serbia has set a high standard for this campaign. O’Neill and Keane will want to show that progress has been made, on the back of signing new contracts with the FAI.
Our prediction: Ireland to win 3-1
Who do you think will come out on top tonight?
