The AC Milan manager, Gennaro Gatusso, will give his 17th intense motivational team talk that takes inspiration from Al Pacino’s famous speech in the movie ‘Any Given Sunday’. Coincidentally this will be Gattuso’s 17th game in charge of Milan. The fiery coach’s motivational skills have led to Milan climbing the table and Gattuso revealed all to the media this morning;
“You must have the balls, the big testicles and a huge penis to win football games. I give all of these to my players before every match. I look each one in the eyes and tell them that they must be ready to fight to the death as men, as a team, as Milan gladiators. You must show heart, character, and above all, a massive set of balls”
Milan are now looking like dark horses for a Champions League spot. Years of decline have meant that Gattuso and his manic pre-game speeches are more than welcomed by the supporters. Fabio Borini spoke to us about the unusual team talks:
“When I was at Sunderland, Gus Poyet would just give us a really disgusted look and say nothing before the game. The gaffer here in Milan gives a long speech before we go out to play each game. He mainly talks about how big our testicles need to be to win. Sometimes he will also bring in our dongs. It’s very motivating and you can see the results on the pitch”
The Milan manager is not certain to get the job on a permanent basis, especially with Antonio Conte rumoured to be available from the summer. However, when asked about his chances of landing the role after the summer, Gattuso gave a resounding response:
“I put my life in to this team and club, including my humongous balls. That’s what this club needs. Testicles so large, the other teams shake with fear”
*needless to say, this article is a joke. Gattuso didn’t say any of this nonsense.
