Sean Dyche vs Arsene Wenger: Who is the better manager? You would have been afraid to ask the question a few years ago as people would have questioned your sanity. Now the question should be asked. Burnley and Arsenal are in a direct battle for 6th place and the Clarets have the momentum. If Sean Dyche manages to finish higher than Arsenal, surely it’s time for the Gunners to consider him for the managerial role.
No nonsense approach
The main criticism of Wenger over the last few years is that his team lacks a backbone. When the going gets tough, Arsenal get running…around in circles. Sean Dyche would revolutionise Arsenal. He’d teach them how to defend properly. They’d be a tougher team and wouldn’t get bullied. Dyche would give players a kick up the arse when required. Arsenal have conceded 45 goals in the Premier League this season. Burnley? Just 29.
Winner takes all for 6th
Some fools will compare Dyche’s move to Arsenal to Big Sam’s declaration a few years ago that he would win the league if he were manager of Barcelona. Let’s not forget that Arsenal is nowhere near Barcelona. It’s actually 925 miles from London to the Catalan capital. Badoom tish. Arsenal haven’t been near the top tier of European football in years and they’re only falling further behind.
There are 5 games remaining. Arsenal has a two point head start. If Burnley manage to finish in sixth place ahead of Arsenal, Sean Dyche should be immediately offered the Arsenal job. It’s time for the Gunners to roll up their sleeves and get physical…physical. Sean Dyche to Arsenal is what needs to happen.
