Keeping De Gea is obviously the number one aim of Manchester United this summer. He’s their keeper, their saviour and perhaps even their God. The second task should be to give Real Madrid some of their own medicine and sign Gareth Bale.
The ex-Spurs attacker is not loved by the Madrid fans. He’s also in Mr Limelight’s shadow. Recently he hasn’t been even on the pitch. Yes, his injury problems have been well documented but that should only help to reduce his price.
A ‘BSL’ front line to eclipse ‘MSN’
Jose could have a front 3 of Bale, Sanchez with Lukaku or Rashford through the middle. Mane, Salah and Firmino would be bettered. Disasters like West Brom would become a thing of the past. It’s great beating, let’s be honest here, a weakened and Champions League distracted Man City. However, when that’s followed up by a home defeat to the worst team in the league, questions have to be asked. United didn’t even score a goal. Everyone scores against West Brom, it’s in their contract, seemingly.
Bale must miss the Premier League. He would bring a winning mentality that includes capturing the Champions League on three occasions. That’s what United need. Bale terrorising opposition defences while Sanchez runs amok on the other flank. United would then be surely ready for an overdue return to the very top of European football.
