The International Judo Federation (IJF) has taken the unusual step of handing Real Madrid player, Sergio Ramos, a lifetime ban. The defender has never participated in a professional judo event, or even an amateur judo tournament before, but the IJF have proactively banned him. A spokesperson for the Federation said:
“We hereby ban Sergio Ramos from any officially sanctioned IJF events. The dislocation of Mo Salah’s shoulder on a Kiev football field was enough evidence for us to make our decision. We also don’t permit elbows, like the one Mr Ramos planted on Liverpool’s defenceless goalkeeper”
The takedown move by Sergio Ramos on Liverpool’s star player was widely condemned by the majority of fans. A general consensus was that Ramos was just acting like Ramos normally does, which is a bit of a spanner. However, the International Judo Federation believe that the Real Madrid captain brought their “clean and proud sport” into disrepute.
In related news, Chuck Norris, a black belt in Judo, has vowed to “destroy Ramos before he reaches the womb”.
