Antoine griezmann to announce other clubs he’s not joining in 3 part HBO series
France and Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann took time out from his busy fortnite schedule to announce to fans that he’d be making a further announcement about what other clubs he wouldn’t be joining in a HBO special to be screened during the World Cup.
The star wowed fans this week by announcing on TV that he’d be staying at the Madrid club rather than move to Champions Barcelona. But the American cable channel were keen to capitalize on all the other clubs he won’t be joining either.
“People want Antoine to make announcements like this. Some lesser stars like Ronaldo may do it in post game interviews after they’ve won their third consecutive European Cup, but we know Antoine’s just a bigger personage than that. He needs the right platform.
Manchester United, Bayern and a handful of Chinese clubs are thought to be numbered among the clubs he won’t be joining, along with an MLS side and at least two Premier League teams.
Griezmann, who was booed by his own fans in the last day of the season, is readying himself to weep openly at the emotion that each of these publicly staged club rejections will elicit.
“In the old days players were faithful to their clubs,” his agent said, “then with big money, players moved clubs more easily, now with even more money, players can stage heart stopping televised events where they reveal who has won their playing time like a fucking Channel 4 bakery show. It’s a marvelous time to be alive.”
