Jose Mourinho’s constant sour mood and lashing out at the media, players and directors is doing nothing but pushing his star player – Paul Pogba – into the arms of big spenders Paris Saint Germain, according to insiders at the club. And what’s more, it’s intentional!
According to one theory, Mourinho understands no more funds will be released by the club for key transfers and therefore sacrificing the under performing Star is his only option.
The two are said to be barely on speaking terms following a string of under par results.
Mourinho needs a strong winger, like Bale or Perisic, to fit his usual playing template – along with a Centre back. Matts Hummels at Bayern has struggled to reach the first team in the last few games and is thought to be a January target too. But only if Mourinho can shift Pogba in a big payout deal!
This week, Paul Pogba’s contract renegotiations with the club were put on hiatus, some say permanently, and his agent Mino Raiola is said to be pushing the player toward a Barcelona move, as it would provide a significant step up in football quality for the Frenchman.
Mourinho is said to prefer the higher paying PSG option, as it will more likely fund the moves he believes are required to make his side competitive in the second half of the season.
