With rumours circulating that Massimiliano Allegri will finish up with Juventus at the end of this season, Zinedine Zidane has apparently emerged as the club’s preferred replacement, according to sources.
Editorials in Italian papers Corriere della Sera and Tuttosport as well as the Sun, make the claim that the Juventus manager will leave the club no matter what results the team achieves by the end of the year, and his mind has been made up.
Inter Milan and Real Madrid seem the most likely destinations, but Chelsea and Manchester United seem like possibilities also.
As his replacement, there seems to be only one prime candidate: Zidane. The Frenchman spent four years at Juventus as a player, so he knows the club and its working very well and as seen as a top level cog who could slip very easily into how the machine works. The manager himself has yet to comment on the rumours but many will see this as a very natural move.
